The historical center of the city of Valencia is the most lovely, captivating, and charming part of the city. It is easily walkable, and it has most of Valencia’s tourist attractions and historic buildings. You can wander endlessly for hours through the beautiful and charming streets.

The Ciutat Vella, or Old Town in English, is the core and essence of Valencia. The six neighborhoods that make up Ciutat Vella are: El Carmen (the largest and most popular district), La Seu, La Xerea, El Mercat, El Pilar, and Sant Francesc.

Ciutat Vella is indeed a very old Spanish town. It is about 2,000 years old, and it used to be delimited by the old city walls. During this tour, we will explore Ciutat Vella by walking through the most charming streets and monuments of the historical center.

Historical Center & City of Arts and Sciences

City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia

This visit includes the historical center of Valencia and The City of Arts and Sciences, an ultra-modern cultural and scientific complex made up of six different areas located at the end of the old Turia riverbed.

We will explore Ciutat Vella first, or Old Town in English, as it is the core and essence of Valencia. Here you will discover magnificent buildings such as the Cathedral, the Central Market (one of the oldest public markets in Europe), or the Silk Exchange, considered a masterpiece of European Gothic art and declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Once we finish exploring Old Town, we will head to the City of Arts and Sciences. Here you will discover Santiago Calatrava’s famous architecture style. Calatrava was born in Valencia in 1951 and is one of the most well-known architects in Spain and in the world.

Las Fallas Festival

Las Fallas Festival

“Las fallas” is one of the most popular festivals in Spain and the biggest festival in Valencia. In fact, it was listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016.

Visiting Valencia during fallas is one of the best opportunities to experience Valencia like a local. You will see children throwing firecrackers, families and friends eating paella on the street, you will have the chance to eat the famous chocolate con churros and buñuelos, and of course, see the incredible sculptures called Fallas.

Most neighborhoods in Valencia build its own “falla” throughout the year. You will be able to see the incredible monuments throughout the whole city between March 15th and March 19th. Cancelation Policy

The tour fee must be paid before the start of the tour. In case of cancellation by the client, the following conditions must be considered:

  • If cancellation occurs 11 to 15 days prior to the tour date, 50% of the tour fee will be refunded.
  • If cancellation occurs 7 to 10 days prior to the tour date, 25% of the tour fee will be refunded.
  • If cancellation occurs 0 to 7 days prior to the tour date, 100% of the service fee is non-refundable.
  • In case of “no show”, 100% of the service fee is non-refundable.
